About Us
EMISnap is a one-tool site. We build an EMI and mortgage calculator — finds the monthly instalment for a mortgage, car loan or personal loan and shows the full amortisation schedule — and nothing else. No sign-up, no mailing list, no paywall: you open the page and use it.
Why this site exists
Search for personal-finance tools and you will mostly find pages that bury a single calculation under cookie walls, newsletter modals and three paragraphs of filler. We built EMISnap as the opposite: one focused tool that finds the monthly instalment for a mortgage, car loan or personal loan and shows the full amortisation schedule, and nothing between you and the answer. Keeping it that narrow is what makes it fast, and what makes it honest about how the result is produced.
How the calculation works
The whole calculation is client-side JavaScript. What happens is this: it uses the standard reducing-balance formula where the payment depends on principal, monthly rate and term, and it splits every instalment into the interest and principal portions so you can see the balance fall. Because the method is published here, any disagreement you find can be traced to a particular step instead of being blamed on a black box.
Privacy by default
Nothing you enter is transmitted. The loan amount, interest rate and term you enter are handled by the page on your own machine, which is why EMISnap has no server-side copy to lose, leak or hand over — and why it still works once you go offline.
Who uses it
- anyone doing the numbers before a decision.
- people modelling a plan over several years.
- readers who want the assumptions laid out.
Keeping the lights on
Advertising pays for the running of EMISnap; nothing here is subscription-based. No advertiser is given the values you enter, and an advert appearing beside a tool is never a recommendation of it.
Contact
If something is wrong, or if there is a feature you would find useful, the contact page is the way to reach us. Messages from people who use the EMI and mortgage calculator shape what gets built next.
